Everything about Vivekananda Vidya Peedom — our history, philosophy, and the programmes that shape our students.
School is the sacred abode of the goddess Saraswathi. It is a centre of learning where our future citizens are shaped and moulded. The all-around development of a child should be the minimum aim of education. Apart from academic excellence, an educational institution should concentrate on the character formation of its children — possible only through proper guidance and motivation. An institution that achieves this aim is a perfect centre of learning.
Inspired by “Vidyabharathi” Akhila Bharatheeya Siksha Sansthan, established in 1952 — the largest networking of non-governmental educational institutions in the world — Vivekananda Vidya Peedom, Attuva, Mavelikara started functioning in 2003. Bharatheeya Vidya Nikethan, the Kerala state constituent of “Vidya Bharathi”, upgraded Vivekananda Vidya Peedom to a High School in the academic year 2011–12. It is also recognized by NIOS and approved by the Government of Kerala. Vivekananda Vidya Peedom is affiliated to Bharathiya Vidyaniketan.
Proposed Sisuvaadika is envisaged to open the magnificent world of learning and knowledge to our new generation. Arun and Udaya classes are conducted in a unique and holistic atmosphere — a special feature of Vivekananda Vidya Peedom.
Along with high academic standards, we focus on the integrated personality development of students. It stands for giving every child the opportunity to blossom in a loving environment, nourishing inherent talents and developing physical, spiritual and personal excellence. It strives to bring up ideal citizens with high moral standing bestowed with the true spirit of nationalism, and to impart an understanding and appreciation of our motherland's cultural heritage.

In the near future, the school will have a well-equipped modern library containing an up-to-date selection of reference books, CDs, periodicals and journals. We include a variety of books and motivate students to read regularly. The library is reinforced with instruction on sourcing and collecting information, and writing projects and assignments.
Classes are conducted by well-qualified and efficient faculty. Great care has been taken in their selection and training. A periodical training programme keeps them in touch with the latest knowledge. Our competent, motivated and committed teachers also impart to students the qualities and moral values that make one an honest, responsible and dignified personality.
